Juliet is taking part in Sheffield Ultra Comedy at The Leadmill on 8 December 2024 for The Menopause Charity

Story

As a counsellor of maturing years,I encounter many people who feel that their bodies and minds have been inhabited by a strange phenomenon which disrupts and destroys their lives and without explanation. This creature goes by the name of The Menopause and we are still learning how to counter attack it.

Our ladies local support group helps each other to find a quality of life in the midst of this ‘being’. We have found that anxiety and depression feature heavily as the hormonal changes take over and change people into crisis levels.

My aim is to help the Menopause charity carry on this vital work so that sustainable support can be awarded to everyday lovely people who lose functionality through the transition into non child bearing years.

The terrifying challenge of learning comedy and taking part in stand up at The Leadmill in Sheffield, will be character building if I should survive it. I would be delighted if you could be part of this. All donations will be gratefully received to research and reset peoples lives.

The event is at The Leadmill in Sheffield on Sunday 8th December 2024. Tickets are £25 and will be unreserved seating.
